In 2008, some outstanding Czech and foreign interpreters and renowned early music soloists joined together to create an ensemble called the Prague Baroque Soloists. The aim of the group is to perform unconventional, high-quality interpretations of European baroque music. PBS has both vocalists and instrumentalists, and concentrates on performing chamber-size works in smaller venues.

In addition to this, PBS holds concerts and produces CD recordings together with the remarkable Czech group Ensemble Inégal. At the beginning of 2009, they got together to record two world-premiere CDs of sacred compositions by Antonio Vivaldi and by Jan Josef Ignace Brentner. The artistic leader of the Prague Baroque Soloists is conductor and organist Adam Viktora.
